thing, but somehow their lobbyists have gotten out of control.
The financial privacy bill also helps protect you against identity theft,
since the sharing of your financial info easily compromises you.
Specifically, a lot of total strangers right now have access to your
private info – how much money you make, how much you owe and to whom, as
well as your Social Security number, address, etc, all of which makes it
very easy for them to use your identity themselves or sell it to someone
