One of my current fantasies is that San Franisco is experiencing a rebirth
of the writing and arts scene like the Beat era.

This includes a lot of stuff like the SF
Writers' Grotto
and Zoetrope
All-story magazine
, even expanded books and arts coverage at the href=http://www.sfgate.com/eguide/books/events/>Chron.

This coming weekend, we have a really big deal happening, href=http://litquake.org>litquake.org.

Litquake will have a lot of area writers coming together for
readings
and panels. It'll be a genuine celebration of what's going on in the SF
Bay Area literary scene. It'll include some really significant writers
some of whom you normally don't get to hear about, like Thomas Sanchez,
href=http://michellerichmond.com>Michelle Richmond, Tom Barbash and others
who've I read and really like.

Please check it out at litquake.org.

Thanks!
