I'm getting really interested in what's the deal with the Democratic Party, and I think I know
what they're about, but they're sure having a hard time saying it.
On the other hand, I do a lot of reading on craigslist, and do a great deal of customer service.
I'm estimating that I've interacted with around fifty thousand people in the last few years.
When I talk to people about this, they tell me I'm getting a real sense of what's happening in the
grassroots, whether I want to or not.
Given all that, here's what my take on the Democrat message, or maybe it's just my interpretation
of what it should be. This is just one way to articulate it, and I can see problems with it.
People in the Democratic Party are about:
- giving the other guy a break
- fiscal responsibility/balanced bduget
- strong defense
Maybe the first is all one needs to say.
