Dean for President: hope, not anger

Dean for President: hope, not anger

I see occasional news items talking how the Dean campaign has harnessed the anger a lot of people feel regarding the Iraq war and corporate corruption.

While there's some truth in that, Dean's appeal is one of hope, hope that we can get honest government back.

That's personally true for me.

I'm one of millions who have given up on government, but have recently been inspired by the possibility that people can get together and improve things.

In about eighteen hours, as I write this, I'll be starting to invest a lot of my time doing so regarding San Francisco city government, focusing on ways to improve City customer service. (More to come on that.)

There's a good article on this, in the today's NY Times.

(There's also a greally good article on how the Dean people are using the Net in the same issue, here.)
