Hey, the profile on us in the new LA Times gave me a chance to give credit to the guy who started Web usage at Charles Schwab. I worked there a coupla years, they were kind enough to move me to San Francisco, where I was a security architect and evangelized the Net.
Darek Milewski started running the first web server there, using the NCSA server, and the first real serious browser, Mosaic, in '94. Now, Schwab depends on all this.
He's never gotten credit for this, but in the article, Idelle does a good job:
… a colleague, Darek Milewski, now at Oracle, introduced him to the early Web and the first use of point-and-click browsers. "Even I was able to guess at the potential of the thing," he says.
