I don't really know what I'm doing, but I really think a tipping point in journalism is happening, and I think it's time to get involved. That is, I think we're hitting what Vernor Vinge calls a "singularity", a term from physics. Like, at the event horizon of a black hole, looks like the rules that govern normal existence change abruptly, and things are different thereafter.
At the other end, my hope is that journalists, both professional and amateur, will be asking tough questions of politicians, and getting answers. (There's more than that, but it's a good start.)
