Hey, people everywhere are trying experiments like this:
Sometimes we have to remember that we all live in a bricks in mortar community that we should be involved in as well. On April 5th, one community in Randolph, MA (15 miles south of Boston) is attempting to pass a ballot question that will set up a dedicated funding source for Open Space, Historic Preservation, Affordable Housing, and Recreation. The funds received via a surcharge on property tax are matched by the state and ear marked for the above uses.
