Well, this feels mighty good, these are trickling in:

My uncle, Tom Owen, age 72, on dialysis, chose to stay in St. Bernard parish to ride out hurricane Katrina. As the waters rose, he managed to get to his attic. He banged a hammer on his roof and was heard by rescuers. He was airvacced to a hospital where he rattled off names of relatives in Savannah, GA. His cousin Lucy, checked this website and found my posting for my missing uncle. She emailed me and I spoke with her to find out what hospital he's in. I managed to call him and he sounds great. He gets discharged into the care of my nephew today. I have great thanks to pay to the Craigslist people and cannot thank you for helping me find my uncle who we feared was dead. We knew at his age and medical condition that he couldn't have survived. It only took a few days after the storm for his relatives to contact me. I am his godchild. By all means, share this with the media so that others can have hope
