Hey, check out Radical Love Gets a Holiday. There's a bit in there that reinforces the moral compass you get doing customer service:

… the most beautiful, strange, impossible, but most of all radical civics lesson ever taught, when Jesus of Nazareth went to a hill in Galilee and told his disciples, “Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you.”

Thanks for pointing out that article as I too am a true defending of the separation of Church and State and have become appalled at many actions taken by Bush 2.0 to break down that separation. Lastly, that is one of three main reasons that I ditched my former job as a red Republican political strategist and turned Purple.

I am a "recovering Christian", Catholic variety.
Secular Humanism is where it is for me, these days. The R.C. church is the bastion of intolerance and self-disapproval. Most Jews and Buddhists are more "community concerned", and "self approving". No?
