When did flowering start? Looks like a cherry flower–but a fruiting type, not an ornamental. Unfortunately, most cherries are not well-suited for San Francisco's moderate climate, and will never set fruit. Doesn't stop people from planting them tho'.

That looks like a citrus tree blossom.
Sometimes fruit trees don't give fruit for many years and then one year, they do.
If you moved into a new place with that tree, it likes you.
