Tweeting your postal/zip code to connect with neighbors?

Hey, Steven Clift, who leads E-Democracy.Org, is "democracy" on Twitter and runs a network of online groups at Democracies Online. He has a good, simple idea where Twitter users might connect better with neighbors. Me, I'm twitter.com/craignewmark, tagging #94117

I wonder what might happen if people simply said hello to their neighbors by tweeting their postal/zip code on the same day? Let's find out. In the U.S., we need about a million people to average 30 people per Zip Code. To spread the word now, Tweet (or e-mail some
friends):

On May 1 join me on #LocalDay and tweet your neighbors using your
Postal/Zip Code – http://e-democracy.org/tweetlocal

Great idea. I already set this up to be delivered on May 1st using Tweetlater. TwitterLocal is also a pretty cool app that shows local tweets based on zip codes…
Thanks!
