The lid was attached pretty firmly, but somehow, they got to the tasty sunflower seeds.

I have my seed in a big plastic trashbin sort of thing that snaps shut. The squirrels once figured out how to get in and had a heydey. I now have to place bricks on top of my containers. So far, so good, but the lids have suffered from a lot of two-tooth gnawing. Persistant little buggers.
