Today is End Malaria Day

Malaria is the #1 killer of young children in the world, and with two clicks, you can save a life.

The first click is right here, where you’ll find a book with 62 different authors, some of them famous, all of them inspiring.

When you buy the ebook for $20, Amazon will send $20 to Malaria No More, the leading charity in the fight against malaria. And while your donation is the part that matters the most, you also get this mammoth book of insight, provocation and doing. The authors all did this project for free, so you would be willing to pitch in.

The internet knows how to solve a problem and the internet cares. A lot. This book is a pain-free way to get your money where it matters, right away.

PS check out endmalariaday.com. Even if you can’t afford a book, I hope you’ll find the time to tweet to your friends about today’s project. It matters. And so do you.

Thanks.

PS before you rush ahead and read the next thing in your RSS reader, think about what it’s like for a mom or dad to have a kid with malaria…

SETH GODIN has written thirteen books that have been translated into more than thirty languages. Every one has been a bestseller. He writes about the post-industrial revolution, the way ideas spread, marketing, quitting, leadership and most of all, changing everything.

  1. In reference to “End Malaria Today”, it would have been more accurate to title it “End Malaria Today, Again”.
Because so many American military personnel contracted malaria during WWII, a concentrated effort resulted in the discovery and application of DDT, which virtually wiped out malaria in the world by the ’50s. The eco-terrorists (pre-EPA) of our country were successful in having DDT banned so, guess what’s back? DDT is the fix if you can get it past the environmentalists.
